What is Megan up to?
February 2017:
Megan had the opportunity to perform with the organization called The Love Story at the Lyric Hyperion Theater. "The Love Story is non-profit media publisher that believes authentic, raw, and vulnerable storytelling can inspire and empower those who are still coping with the challenges of love loss to transform one’s loss into creative expression". They had their first event where many talented artists took the stage. There was an open mic portion for musicians and spoken word poets. Megan took the stage and gave an incredibly moving performance. After the show many opportunities started pouring in. She then performed again the next night at The River Rock bar in Studio City, where she got paid to perform. Megan was asked by the founder of The Love Story to be the associate producer on their next event called Transforming the Butterfly.
July 2015-Present:

Back in July of 2015 Megan ruptured her Achilles' Tendon doing Muay Thai. She couldn't work, had to move out of her apartment, sell all of her things and move in with family. Megan decided to use her time creatively and wrote a spoken word piece called What is love? Her piece covers very controversial deep topics such as child sexual abuse, rape, self mutilation, lack of respect for her body and self love for herself and being bisexual. She started performing her piece in open mic nights early January 2016. Megan was able to start being the voice for those that couldn't or were never able to speak up for themselves. She then decided to take a solo trip to Peru to do some soul searching. Megan did a ten day Ayauhusca retreat, which is a healing physcadelic medicene. It was during those ceremonies deep in the Amazon jungle where she learned to finally love herself. Megan then ventured down to southern Peru and climbed one of the seven wonders of the world; Machu Picchu.
After returning from Peru was when she decided to go back to school and travel the world.
July-Novemebr 2016:

Since freshmen year of high school, Megan found her passion with Commedia Del' Arte and during her under-graduate at Cal State Fullerton, her passion for physical theater grew. After spending 4 years in Los Angeles Megan decided she needed to travel the world and go back to school to further her education in physical theater. She researched a school a few years back called Academia Dell' Arte in Tuscany, Italy. They added a 3 year MFA program in physical theater. That was when she knew where she was going to end up. Megan spent months preparing for her audition. She was required to create a 5 minute original physical theater piece and 2 contrasting monologues. She turned her Spoken Word What is Love? into a movement piece. Her dedication and hard work paid off and was officially accepted in November of 2016 into Cohert 7 at Academia Dell' Arte for their MFA program in physical theater.
